Since 1986 Fiesta Tropicale, three to six piece Brisbane based Salsa Latin / Calypso roving band specialized in strolling music for all out door venues. They specialize in bright n happy music styles: Calypso, Salsa, Merengue, Cha cha, Cumbia, Ska, Soca, Bomba, Mexican, & some belly dance and Bollywood pieces.. They are a humorous, colorful, friendly, interactive, and musically excellent group of international quality with twenty three residency tours in Asia and the Pacific (Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, & Pacific Islands). Fiesta Tropicale is without a doubt one of Australia’s best & novel roving bands, and successful Salsa Latin /Calypso music performers.

“La Carreta”

It’s an original innovation which has popularized the band. Take an organ grinders cart (mixer/amp & speaker box), install a battery sound system, harness & shade the keyboardist with a beach umbrella, then you have a full live band wherever you want it, leaving two dancers, a drummer and trumpet player free to dance and interact with audience as they stroll performing to all corners of the festival.
